Description:

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines universal health coverage as "ensure that all people receive the health services they will need without having financial hardship to go to pay them". This is not the case in the United States.

Answer to question 1

1. Do you know how the health system of the United States works?

The health system of the United States works in mixed form, with private insurance, mostly paid by the employing companies and administered programs by the federal government known as Medicare, Medigap and Medicaid, as well as some programs such chip as the State Authority.
Medicare is a federal program of health insurance for people 65 years or older, some younger people with disabilities and people with chronic renal disease (ESRD) is a permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or transplantation. It does not cover preventive medicine, or services such as dentists or the opticians.

Medigap is a Medicare supplemental insurance that supplements Medicare reimbursement for medical services provided. Often Medigap plans pay certain types of services that are not covered by traditional Medicare coverage.

Medicaid is a federal and state joint program that helps with medical costs for some people with limited income and resources. It also offers benefits that Medicare does not cover, such as care services in nursing homes and personal care, are exposed to rejection by providers of health services, since their repayment rate is very low.

Chip is a child insurance to the families low-income who do not qualify for Medicaid.

Answer to question 2

2. Do you think that the health system in the United States is good?

According to WHO data. The United States placed third in the world in per capita spending on health, according to World Bank figures (http://datos.bancomundial.org/indicador/SH.XPD.PCAP). However, 14.9% of the population lacks health insurance.
Bloomberg has analyzed the efficiency of health systems in 48 developed countries, taking into account the following three criteria: 1. Life expectancy, 2. the cost of health as percentage of GDP per capita (the percentage of GDP per capita that is intended to cover the costs of the health system) and 3. absolute per capita cost of the health system. The total health expenditure is going intended to cover both preventive and curative services, family planning, nutrition and emergency assistance.
Among the 48 countries analyzed, USA occupies the 44th position. This shows the high cost of US health system: one of the richest countries in the world spends more on health and get less of what they get the another nations analyzed. Even more surprising it is that it also leaves a large percentage of the population without security or poorly protected in case you need assistance.

Answer to question 3

3. Do you think Obamacare helps Americans?

Following the Obamacare it has been noted disinterest in hospitals by staff working in there and in hospitals, in the state programs lack supervision by the state that does not create the mechanisms to control it, this is looking like to the South American countries such as Cuba and Venezuela, among others, to prevent this keep happening should be rotated inspectors or auditors of the internal control department to prevent vices and bribery.
We think this program implemented by President Obama is nothing more than a tax increase.

Description:

It should improve the efficiency of the health system of the United States, everyday more and more Americans are entered into the health system, however we believe that this health program implemented by President Obama is nothing more than a tax increase, if we allow that the health system get worse would be incalculable the consequences, is cheaper for taxpayers keep having to repair, should even adopt universal health system that seems to work better than the current system.
